The commercial use of personal data alongwith the trail of electronic transactions necessitated the Legislature to pass Digital personal  data Protection Act, 2023. The objective of the Act is to process the digital personal data in a manner which recognises the rights of the individual to protect their personal data and the need to process such personal data for lawful purposes and matters connected therewith.
