BIS issues new standards for Data Privacy Assurance

The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has established standards for personal data protection by businesses. The Data Privacy Assurance standard - IS 17428 will standardize the personal data protection practice among businesses that deal with the collection and processing of individual information.
