SEBI amends the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Foreign Venture Capital Investors) Regulations, 2000

A Foreign Venture Capital Investor (FVCI) is a financial institution registered with SEBI and incorporated and established outside India. They are registered with SEBI under the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Foreign Venture Capital Investors) Regulations, 2000.  


An FVCI can invest in the Indian Venture Capital Undertaking (IVCU) or a Venture Capital Fund (VCF) in India.  


Investments by a Foreign Venture Capital Investor are subject to approval from the Reserve bank of India.
